After taking much of 2019 off to spend time with her family, board-certified dermatologist Sandra Leyo DuPont, MD, is returning to Green Valley to provide comprehensive skin care at her own practice, Oasis Dermatology. She graduated with honors from University of Virginia School of Medicine in 1997. Having more than 23 years of diverse experiences, including family medicine, United States Navy Medical officer, and dermatology, Dr. Sandra Leyo DuPont offers compassionate and thorough medical care for all ages. She strives to deliver the highest quality of healthcare to all of her patients.

Dr. DuPont graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas and completed his medical training at Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston. His dermatology residency was done at the University of Arizona from 2010 - 2013, where he remained after graduation to complete a year-long fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology. He is an assistant professor in the U of A College of Medicine, Division of Dermatology.

Although Dr. DuPont is a board-certified dermatologist, his practice is limited to a specialty within dermatology known as Mohs Surgery. This is a 'tissue-sparing' microscopic technique of removing certain types of skin cancer in which the physician acts in the dual capacity of both surgeon and pathologist. Dr. DuPont performs over 1,500 cases per year between the University of Arizona Cancer Center, the Southern Arizona VA Hospital, and Oasis Dermatology.  He is committed to treating each patient with respect and compassion and practices as a team with our staff to bring patient-focused expert care to all patients. 

He enjoys spending time with my wife and three children. I also enjoy photography, hiking, skiing and fixing things around the house.

Patricia Ferrer is a certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology for more than twenty years. She provides medical and surgical dermatologic services with emphasis on prevention and early detection of skin cancer and management of chronic dermatologic conditions. Ms. Ferrer has a compassionate nature and provides thorough and quality dermatology care to all her patients.

In her spare time, she volunteers her dermatology services to Tucson’s low-income uninsured and travels to Central America for medical humanitarian aid missions.
